Chat Sh*t, Get Hit

I’ve been working with sardonic Northern wunderkind, poetic and hilarious performance artist Martha Pailing, on her second solo show - about female rage. She’s just smashed Edinburgh Fringe 2026, scooped some prizes, completed a mini tour and ended up selling out a mini run at Soho Theatre as part of Soho Rising.

‘What if your anger just simmers underneath? If it never quite reaches boiling point,
but it’s present, burning your insides’

Combining spoken word, football chants, live art and theatre, Chat Shit, Get Hit dives into women's anger:
how it fuels, how it festers and how it is swallowed. A funny and uncompromising show about recovery,
solidarity and the suppression of women's rage.
